Today is the second last day... Yes sadly it's the second last day, and tomorrow we are only going to the airport to proceed back to Singapore. Not much time left in Taiwan you see. Erm first up, in the morning it was raining, the sky was really gloomy. So everyone took their umbrellas and toured around the Confucius temple, stepping into the pools of water. The most interesting part is watching the 4D movie. It sprays water, let out smoke and there were something hitting my legs under the chairs which gave me a shock. The movie was interesting and realistic.
The gold museum is quite entertaining especially when it comes to the place where we can touch the gold and take photos. We were also shown the process of getting the gold and making them into different necessaries. There were also artifacts made of gold into the shapes of crabs (look very cute!!) and many other different varieties.
We were lucky enough as by the time we reach Jiufen to shop, the rain has stopped. However there's nothing much to shop for after going to so many places such as Ximending and the night market. So Szemin, Kelly and me decided to sit somewhere instead. That's when Szemin took her temperature and found that she's sick!! Ermm counting with my fingers, she's the seventh who had fever during the trip. Haiz, before going back to the hotel, we went to the hospital...
Good bye Taiwan!!

Time flies and it's already the second last day of oelp! Firstly, we made our way to our first destination--- the Confucius Temple. We toured around the temple and learnt more about Confucius. The highlight of the trip to the Confucius Temple was watching my first experience of watching a 4D movie regarding Confucius. It was so realistic and entertaining as smoke and water was let out.
We also visited the gold museum whereby we were able to touch gold and take pictures with it. Through the visit, I got to know how gold is obtained and saw the many artifacts made of gold. We also learnt about the history of the gold mines there in the past.
Lastly, we went to Chuifen old street to shop. There were long stretches of stalls aligned at the side of the path. However, there wasn't much things for me to buy as nothing caught my eyes. Also, I was overwhelmed by fatigue as I felt feverish and was so tired I only wanted to sit down. And indeed, when I took my temperature, I realised that I was having a fever. Before making our way back to the hotel, we went to a clinic in Taiwan. I had to see the doctor and it was my first visit to a clinic in Taiwan. The medicine prescribed was so effective after one dose of the different pills, my temperature decreased and I felt much better.

It was the sixth day of the OELP trip. After breakfast, we went to the Confucius Temple. We had to cross many doors and have watched 4D movies about Confucius. The visit have made me learnt to appreciate the knowledge that I have gained and continue to learn more to expand our knowledge. We went to Gold Museum next where there are many golds there. It was high up in the mountain and it was a good experience since there was not gold mine is Singapore. We even had the chance to touch a very heavy and big gold! The views from the top was amazing and i like the sceneries a lot! We went to Chuifen old street next where there are many shops to buy souvenirs and i bought 20 packets of tea for my mother. I also bought a calligraphy brush which was recommended by the shopkeeper. It was very high up in the mountain and near the end of the street was a nice scenery of the sea and mountains and clouds. Time flew really fast and we will be going back to Singapore the next day.

Our first destination today is the Confucius Temple. The temple
looks like those in ancient times. We went through the tour of the temple and
then headed for the 4D movie about this temple and Confucianism which I find
quite interesting. This was my first time experiencing a 4D movie and it was
pretty awesome. The effects were quite realistic, smoke (just water) and wind
except for the thing that keeps hitting our legs which gave me a shock at
first.
Jinguashi or the Gold Museum was our next stop. We learnt more
about the history of the gold mines there in the past and how they dug gold
from underground.
We went to shop at Chuifen Old Street next. It was a long
stretch of stalls so it took us quite some time to walk through the whole place
once. I went to a shop selling prank toys which was very fun. The store owner
was really good at promoting his prank toys which is full of surprises. The
pranks vary from shooting you with water to giving you a little electric shock.
It was definitely fun playing a prank on your friends and giving them a shock
of their lives.

Sixth entry:
Sixth day is of the OELP trip! How would I say? Today was a very, extremely, 超级无敌 awkward day! Why? Because we had a bicultural 'camp' with the year 1s! We were separated into twos (I am with Huan Yu) and randomly put into a year 1 class (ours is 1B)! Then we have two facilitators from year 5/6. First, we had a ice breaking game and it was really weird! Nobody was enthusiastic in the ice breaking games! After that, we got a movie appreciation! The movie was called 上学路上 which was about a girl in China who had to earn money by herself in order to pay the school fees for next term! In the movie, we saw the differences between Singapore and China. For example, 风土民情,教育制度 etc. This movie enable us to appreciate the facilities we have in our school and not to take things for granted! Then, we were supposed to create a poster to collate our reflections about the movie which me and Huan Yu slack and let the year 1 do. (Haha)! After a break, we got a Chinese traditional mask decorating activity. We were supposed to design or decorate the mask until like similar to the 传统 one! However, Huan Yu and mine turn out to be very modern and 西洋! -_-# Actually, I meant to do a normal one like those traditional ones so I took some of the design from a few masks. But then, the combination turn out to be very modern!!!! (...) My mask actually looked quite nice and serious at first, but then I went to draw a green spectacles on it (I don't know what's wrong with me) and it become a funny-looking mask! (haish) And Huan Yu's mask turn out to be very 惊悚! Got blood and 伤口 everywhere. Even the lips were black and twisted in a very 恐怖的 manner! So another day ends with the traditional mask which turn out to be a funny mask (somehow the facil said it was cute, LOL! I hate the 'cute' word aaaaa)...
